The Story of CBD Hemp Oil

Hemp has become an increasingly popular topic lately, especially following the legalizations of medical or recreational marijuana. With that said, hemp is not necessarily marijuana. The difference is confusing and often misconstrued depending on who you ask.

At the bottom of things, however, hemp comes from specific strains of Cannabis Sativa that were developed for fibers, oils, ointments, nutritional benefits, et cetera. The list of purposes continues to grow; however, none of them include the purpose of intoxication. On the other hand, marijuana refers to different strains that are designed specifically for "getting high."

CBD hemp oil is an oil extracted from hemp plants. The oil has a high CBD content and an extremely low THC content, which means there would be no "high" received from the oil as CBD is not psychoactive. This is another big difference between marijuana and hemp, as marijuana contains high amounts of THC, which is the psychoactive component that would give the user a "high" feeling.

A high-quality cbd hemp oil also includes many other beneficial cannabinoids such as cannabichromene (CBC), cannabidivarin (CBDV), cannabigerol (CBG) and cannabinol (CBN). The oil also contains over a hundred beneficial terpenes such as Borneol, Caryophyllene, Cineole/Eucalyptol, Delta 3 Carene, Limonene, Linalool, Myrcene, Pinene, Sabinene and Terpineol. These ingredients work cohesively to have a greater effect together.

The cannabinoids in hemp oil work with the cell membranes of the brain cells, nerve cells, gland cells and the cells of the internal organs. The effect is a more stable environment inside the body. This can be used to help with medical issues like anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis, joint pain, eczema, Tourette's, Crohn's disease and even irritable bowel syndrome. It has also been reported to help those suffering from Type 2 Diabetes.
